Habitat is Building Two Women Build Homes | May-August 2020
The Habitat for Humanity Women Build program recruits, educates, and encourages women to build and advocate for decent and affordable houses in our community.
The Women Build is an opportunity for all women (and men) to partner with Habitat to support and build an affordable home for a deserving working family. Each Women Build home is built by 300+ women leaders and volunteers in our community.
Habitat for Humanity recruits groups and teams of up to 20 women. Together these groups will make up the more than the 300 volunteers needed to construct the homes. Volunteers are asked to donate greater or equal to their age in dollars. (A 45-year-old would donate $45).
No experience is necessary. Volunteers work under the guidance of construction professionals, and also alongside other volunteers and future Habitat homeowners.
