To bring together working women of diverse occupations and to provide opportunities for them to help themselves and others grow personally and professionally through leadership, education, networking support and recognition.


Working Women: Provide a nurturing environment responsive to the needs of working women which addresses the unique challenges facing them

Opportunities: Foster awareness for personal and professional growth

Mentoring: Connect outreach efforts for service to others and the community

Education: Expand knowledge base through intellectual dialogue

Networking: Facilitate personal, business, organization visibility at council events


  • Increase awareness of the contributions of working women in the South Bend Elkhart region, by selecting a “Woman of the Year” to be announced at the Chamber Annual Meeting. The nomination form can be found here
  • Focus on relevant topics paired with speakers for monthly luncheons
  • Provide relevant topics paired with speaker/panel expertise and presentation skills
  • Create an atmosphere where all attendees feel welcome
