Our Mission

Support economic development in the South Bend Elkhart Region by promoting and facilitating coordination among business community, elected officials, business leaders, and partners; resulting in a vibrant business atmosphere.

Goals

Champion, receive information, and support the following influences and indicators of economic success, challenges, and opportunities in Greater Elkhart:

  • Residential and Commercial growth in Elkhart and Bristol
  • Pre-K to Adult Education
  • Enhancing the Business Culture and Environment in Greater Elkhart
  • Providing platforms for engagement between Elected Officials and our Business Community
  • Regional collaboration
  • Quality of place initiatives
  • Local, State, and Federal legislation/policies that enhance economic growth opportunities for our Region

What we do together

The Economic Development Council meets each month to champion and support activities that will assist businesses and organizations to reach their goals.

The Greater Elkhart Chamber of Commerce is asking: What we can do to help remove potential hurdles and free the entrepreneurial spirit that has made Elkhart a great economic development engine.
