March 6, 2023 @ 10:00 am - 11:30 am

Karl Shelly, Cyneatha Millsaps, & Ben Bouwman
March 6, 8, 13, 15 | 10 – 11:30 a.m.

The history of the United States is woven with many threads, none more odious, continuous, and damaging than racism. How do we reckon with such a legacy? For centuries, communities of color have provided an answer: reparations. This seminar will explore what reparations is, why it’s needed, and how we can participate. Karl Shelly and Ben Bouwman are local pastors working with White churches on this issue. Cyneatha Millsaps is the executive director for Mennonite Women USA, community activist, and chair of the Tolson Center.
