The November OSHA Council breakfast will feature an interactive presentation on Incident Investigation with presenter Jason Demeter, CSP, CIH. Jason will introduce the steps to conduct an Incident Investigation and provide interactive scenarios to sharpen your skills.
The process of Incident Investigation includes a series of steps like securing the scene, gathering data, analyzing the information to find both immediate and underlying causes, and implementing corrective actions to improve safety and prevent a recurrence. The goal is not to assign blame, but to identify and fix systemic problems.
This is a great opportunity to begin to learn about the proper way to conduct an incident investigation. The Chamber will also offer a four hour Root Cause Analysis workshop in December to enhance your skills in finding underlying causes.
