Jonathan Canning, Director Brauer Art Museum, Valparaiso University Canning lived the majority of his childhood in Britain, where he then went on to receive his undergraduate degree in Art History at the Courtauld Institute of Art. Canning then obtained his master’s degree at the University of Delaware and a Master’s in Philosophy at Columbia University. He eventually moved to Chicago, where he was hired at Loyola University Chicago. Canning was appointed Director at the Brauer at the beginning of the 2022-23 school year.
