Midwest Museum of American Art Noon Time Talk: Robert Indiana

Please join us on Thursday, February 24, 2022 for our Noon Time Talk at 12:15 PM.

Assistant Curator, Randy Roberts, delivers a talk about this important Pop artist of the 20th Century. Born Robert Clark, the artist adopted ‘Indiana’ as his last name when he moved to New York from Chicago. There he developed his ideas about painting using a graphic language of letter forms and numbers. Roberts will uncover some of the hidden meanings in the artist’s most important works.

Masks are required for all gallery talks if you have not been vaccinated. Masks are strongly recommended if you have been vaccinated. Gallery Talks or Noon Time Talks each Thursday will be limited to 35 people on a first-come-first-serve basis. Doors will be locked at 12:15. No admittance to the museum by the public will be allowed until the talk has concluded and the galleries emptied and sterilized.
