A survey of the life and work of American painter William Merritt Chase (1849-1916). Highlights his years at Shinnecock, Long Island, New York, where the artist established the first important outdoor summer school of art in the United States in 1891.
Masks are required for all gallery talks if you have not been vaccinated. Masks are strongly recommended if you have been vaccinated. Gallery Talks or Noon Time Talks each Thursday will be limited to 50 people on a first-come-first-serve basis. Doors will be locked at 12:15. No admittance to the museum by the public will be allowed until the talk has concluded and the galleries emptied and sterilized.
