DESCRIPTION:Bike Safety Rodeo for children in grades K-6\, ride or bring their bike. Sunday\, June 7\, 2026\, from 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm\, at the Tolson Center\, 1320 Benham Avenue\, Elkhart\, IN. This event is free to the public. Parents are encouraged to pre-register their children by emailing ElkhartKiwanisBikeRodeo@gmail.com or by going to the Facebook page\, https://www.facebook.com/KiwanisClubofElkhart and access the post for this event. \nThe event will have an educational and interactive bicycle safety course with various stations set up to help kids with riding safely. There will be free giveaways for all kids who register and participate in the bike safety rodeo\, including helmets for those who do not have one. There will also be a drawing to give away two new bikes\, one for a boy and one for a girl. \nDuring the Bike Safety Rodeo event\, kids will get to “drive” a mapped-out course to learn and practice safety skills that may help save their lives. With help from the Elkhart Health Department\, kids will learn the importance of wearing a bike helmet\, basic rules of the road\, hand turn signals and basic traffic safety signs. This event will take place in conjunction with The Tolson Center’s Summer Kickoff party.
