DESCRIPTION:Zoom Attendance ONLY \nIn an environment where there’s a seemingly never-ending challenge to recruit and retain employees\, the February OSHA Council Breakfast topic will be a secret weapon in that battle.  Dr. I. David Daniels\, President/CEO of ID2 Solutions\, will focus on how an organization’s Safety Culture can have a tremendous impact on recruiting and retention; not only from the physical aspect of keeping employees safe but also from a psychological standpoint.  Dr. Daniels will be approaching the topic from several vantage points: \n\nSafety culture – A discussion about the concept\, its origins\, and how it affects an organization.\nPsychological safety – The concept\, its origins\, and its connection to the culture\nThe recruitment\, selection\, and retention process and why safety matters in each aspect of the efforts to assemble human capital\n\nDr. Daniels is uniquely qualified to share on this topic; he holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Fire Services Administration\, a master’s degree in human resources management\, and a Ph.D. in Occupational Health and Safety.  He serves as a member of the National Safety Council’s Board of Directors and has served over 30 years in fire/rescue\, emergency medical\, and emergency management organizations in three states\, including three appointments as a Fire Chief.
