DESCRIPTION:CBE Workshop: Front Line Leadership Training Series \n \nFor most organizations\, those who lead on the front lines make up the largest part of the Management Team.  These leaders have typically been promoted from floor positions because they exhibited natural leadership skills. In other cases\, these leaders joined the company in “Leader In Training” roles.  Whichever the case\, their impact on the organization is significant yet they haven’t been trained in the foundational leadership skills that will help make them and company very successful. \nThe Front Line Leader Workshops are lively\, practical and interactive sessions that take participants through foundation leadership skills while introducing them to higher level continuous improvement tools and leadership practices. \nThe series of workshops build upon each other and address performance management\, problem solving\, leading change\, leadership communication\, conflict management and motivation of employees with various styles.  Participants will also get a DiSC Workplace Profile assessment and gain understanding on how their workplace style can best interact and positively impact their team and peers. \nPlease note\, participants may be eligible for the NextLevel Jobs Grant from the State of Indiana if participants take the full series of workshops. \nThe full series of 10 Workshops is $920 ($792 for Greater Elkhart Chamber Members). Individual Courses are $99 ($85 with the Chamber Member Discount)*\n* There is a 7% discount for the full series and participants may be eligible for the NextLevel Jobs Grant from the State of Indiana if participants take the full series of workshops. DESCRIPTION:This 10 hour 2-day Course is designed to present detailed information on how the provisions of OSHA Act must be implemented in the workplace. The 10 Hour Workshop fee includes breakfast and lunch both days and your personal copy of Introduction to OSHA Student Handbook. \nUpon completion of the training\, participants will receive a Certificate of Completion and a Department of Labor OSHA wallet size completion card.  Attendance is limited to 40 participants.  Please note that the combined 10 and 20 Hour OSHA classes are eligible for the NextLevel Jobs grant from the State of Indiana. \nCOVID-19 protocol will be in place\, including social distancing for seating of attendees and that all attendees and presenters are required to wear masks.  Meals and snacks will be served by Matterhorn staff.

DESCRIPTION:The Greater Elkhart Chamber of Commerce and the Elkhart Environmental Center will host a ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate the completion of the new multi-use pavilion. This project was part of the Leadership Academy 2019-2020  class. \nThe 30-foot by 30-foot open-air pavilion\, located on a concrete pad on the east side of the Visitor Cabin\, was generously funded by TouchTronics Inc.\, Mid-States Construction and the Rex & Alice A. Martin Foundation. It was designed to match the aesthetic of the Visitor Cabin. From the picnic tables there\, visitors can enjoy a view of the Quilt Garden when it is in season. \nPlease note\, at the Ribbon Cutting social distancing will be enforced\, and mask wearing required.
