DESCRIPTION:2021 Third House Meetings \nAdvocacy on behalf of members is at the very core of the work the Chamber does on a daily basis. Being able to host our state lawmakers so they can meet face-to-face with their constituents is a privilege. \nThe opportunity to engage with our elected officials is paramount to insuring that the voices of Elkhart County are being echoed in the Statehouse during legislative sessions. \nThird House Meetings give the legislators and the voters a chance to communicate in an open forum. Indiana legislators invited to the Third House Meetings include Rep. David Abbott\, Rep. Joanna King\, Rep. Doug Miller\, Rep. Curt Nisly\, Rep. Timothy Wesco\, Sen. Blake Doriot\, Sen. Ryan Mishler\, and Sen. Linda Rogers. \nAdditional Third House Meetings will be held from 12 – 1:30 pm on Friday\,  March 12 and April 16. You will need to register for those separately. \nThis meeting  on February 12 will be held via Zoom. SUMMARY:Violence in the Workplace: A Proactive Response
DESCRIPTION:In this five week training\, you will learn how to identify when conflict is escalating toward violence\, learn skills to de-escalate the conflict\, explore additional de-escalation skills\, tools to respond after trauma or violence\, and ways to proactively build the workplace culture you want. These sessions will be held weekly\, from 8:30 – 10 am\, beginning February 18 and continuing through March 18. Instructors will be from the Center for Community Justice.
