Fairbanks Award

The Fairbanks Award is given to recognize businesses that have made an outstanding contribution toward beautification of our community under the criteria established by the Greater Elkhart Chamber of Commerce.  Nominations are received by and/or made by the Fairbanks Task Force which is a part of the Business Recognition Council.  All nominees are then viewed, and recommendations are made to the entire council.

Candidates are judged using the following criteria:

1. Beautification of existing property through renovation and/or landscaping.
2. Beautification through new construction.
   

This includes, but is not limited to, overall appearance of the structure, use of landscaping materials, and appropriate signage.
